Masha Halpern has been representing buyers and sellers of residential real estate in the Chapel Hill and Durham areas of North Carolina since 1992. She also covers Carrboro, Hillsborough, Cary, Raleigh and other outlying communities. Masha works at all levels of the market – from one bedroom condominiums to million-dollar-plus estates.
Masha creates extensive marketing plans for every property she represents, including high internet visibility, local and national publications, newsletters, postcards, and direct target marketing.
The luxury division of Masha Halpern and The Smart Move Team provides buying and selling services for luxury homes and for residences of historical significance. These homes are advertised on UniqueHomes.com, on The Wall Street Journal’s real estate website, on the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing’s website, and on dozens of affiliate real estate websites. Homes are given extensive international exposure through Proxio.com, the International Multiple Listing Service and Global Real Estate Network, with over 400,000 agents in 115 countries.
In addition, luxury homes are featured in The High End Magazine and are promoted throughout the country through Keller Williams International, and in conjunction with numerous additional marketing and referring affiliations.
Masha is a member of The Institute for Luxury Home Marketing, participates in its annual Leaders in Luxury Conference, and works with The Institute’s thousands of members worldwide to share information about current listings. Masha is also a member of CyberStars International – Top Realtors Using Technology – a group dedicated to taking the best and latest technological advances and applying them to real estate advertising and marketing.
Masha is a graduate of the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, and lives in Chapel Hill near campus with her husband, son, dog and three cats.

She makes sure that every last detail of your home purchase or sale is scheduled, handled, and completed. Staci also updates and maintains all team appointments and activities.
She maintains all service and marketing reports, assists with marketing, and documents all activity connected to every client.
Staci monitors all agent feedback related to showings, and assists in preparing listing, buyer, and closing documents. She also keeps in touch with clients after the transaction is complete, to handle any additional issues that could arise.

Her responsibilities are to maintain accurate database records of all contacts and clients that Masha markets to. She performs tax record verifications and makes sure all in house marketing stays on schedule and ensures its accuracy.
After graduation from McGill University in Montreal with a Master's of Science in Genetics and continuing her educational career in Genetics at Yale University in New Haven , CT, Kathie went on to graduate from the Duke Physician's Assistant program and then worked for over 15 years as an Orthopedic Physician's Assistant and both Duke Hospital and the VA Hospital in Durham, North Carolina.
She is Masha's mother and grandmother to Joseph. She is an avid reader and crossword puzzle solver!
